Most advice out there is written for people with predictable 9–5 schedules. Shift workers are often left to figure things out alone, exhausted and overwhelmed.

ShiftSleepWell was created to change that.

My Story

My name is Troy and I’m a Registered Nurse working rotating shifts in a busy inner-city emergency department. I’ve worked nights, days, turnarounds, and everything in between.

I know exactly what it feels like to:

  • Finish a shift wired and unable to sleep
  • Wake up groggy no matter how long you rested
  • Struggle with energy crashes halfway through the night
  • Feel burnout creeping in
  • Try to stay healthy on unpredictable schedules
  • Fight the physical and emotional toll that shift work quietly builds

I started ShiftSleepWell because I needed better answers — and I knew countless others did too.

With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, years of clinical experience, and a deep interest in sleep science, health and wellness, I began researching and learning what actually works for shift workers:

  • stress and recovery protocols
  • nutrition patterns that work on night shift
